ACTIVITIES
|
| There
is a soccer-field in our county
which built by our municipality.
Karpuzlu Municipality Sports Club,
founded in 1985, continues its
activities. With the great efforts
of our Mayor Hayrettin ANMAK,
a place is determined to build
a covered sports hall and its
foundations were laid already.
Our works continue to finish this
sports hall and soon we will put
this into the service of our youth.
Also we continue to work on Volleyball
and Basketball fields. |

CAMEL
WRESTLING |
|
In
the year 2002, we have arranged
the First Camel Wrestling Festival
with the help of Karpuzlu Villages’
Agricultural Development Cooperative
and our municipality. These wrestlings,
which have taken place in a traditional
festival environment, will continue
in the following years. The festival
is held on 14th of December each
year. |

WRESTLING |

Again
with the help of Karpuzlu
Villages’ Agricultural Development
Cooperative and our municipality,
First Bull Wrestling Festival
was held on 20th of July
2003 as a celebration of
the foundation of the cooperative.
This festival will be held
in the following years in
this date. |

HEALTH |

Since 2003, Karpuzlu
Municipality supports
newly married couples
of Karpuzlu by undertaking
the works of Mediterranean
Anaemia tests and demand
a very low price for
the costs of these tests.
Lots of conveniences
were made for the couples
who have trouble in
paying these costs. |

We give social aids
to Karpuzlu’s needy
soldier families according
to their demands and
we will continue to
do this. We also always
aid our poor and needy
citizens and we will
continue doing this. |
