MESSAGE

We have made efforts to raise the living standards and catch the modern age by all aspects in Karpuzlu Municipality, which I was elected as the Mayor in 18 April 1999 local elections. By this reason, we are one of the municipalities that have prepared a web site to introduce our county as best as possible. We utilize internet by watching every kinds of political, scientific and technologic developments. Our county is a small but nice county, which is surrounded by mountains. Our population is approximately 2300 and doesn’t increase very much because of the immigration as a result of economic impossiblities. It is an important duty for me to introduce my nice county, which has Ancient Alinda City from the date 300 BC. Especially, Ancient Alinda City’s unique historical beauty was always shrouded because of lack of introduction in the past.

Culture is the most precious legacy that mankind can leave behind. It is now accepted by all that history and present must be known. In technology age, we have considered the uses of technology, and we have chosen this way to introduce where we live and its culture. In these pages, we have tried to introduce our region as best as possible. We will be happy to see and accommodate you in our nice county.
